PAYT
- Committee reviewed drafts of sections for the Presentation to Board of Selectmen, and comments were offered for changes, deletions, additions. Roz and Fred agreed to incorporate comments into the next Draft for Committee review.
- Committee voted unanimously to recommend to the Selectmen:
“to increase the Transfer Sticker Fee to $140 for a period of 4 years, and to review costs, expenses, etc in
three years to develop a subsequent fee recommendation for implementation on the fifth year, when a deficit
will likely occur. The Committee will also undertake the development of educational materials, hold community
events etc to increase awareness of and the methods for recycling.”
Community Survey
- Copies will be made for distribution at Windmill Weekend.
- Neal offered a free composter to be offered during Windmill Weekend from among those who fill out the survey.
Swap Shop
- Tour of Harwich and Chatham Swap Shops is Aug 28
- Committee plans to send reps to Off-Cape Swap Shop Conference to be held on Sept. 11.
Windmill Weekend
- Committee members signed up for various shifts to staff a table on the Green Sept 7 and 8 from 10-4. Suggested materials to include on the table were identified.
